October

October was a busy month. We started out with Dad and Colin taking a trip to Wisconsin to visit Gramma Kay and Grandpa Jim. Here we are at breakfast.
Grandpa Jerry drove over from Iowa, so he could see us. Here we are in the back yard. We had beautiful weather all weekend. Mid 70's all weekend which is unheard of in Wisconsin in October.
Colin got to go to Grandma's lake house too. Here they are having fun on a golf cart. I guess Colin told a funny joke.
Colin got to ride on a big boy tricycle too. Thanks gramma!
I guess Colin got really tired and had to pass out in the yard.
We walked to a neighbor's farm and got to play on a choo choo train.
And play with a cat.
And lift big pumpkins.
Grampa Jim showed Colin how to decorate a pumpkin by drawing a face on it.
Colin got to eat fresh berries. Messy messy.
Colin got to hang out with his cousins one afternoon too. Colin and his cousin Livia are less than 2 weeks apart in age.
Grandpa and Dad got to go to the Badger game on Saturday morning. This is a picture of Dad's breakfast...extra spicy!
Dad's buddies Schmitty and Kevin.
Dad's friend Blair and his fiance Heather with Grandpa Jim.
The view from our seats.
Here is Colin playing with a scary lawn decoration. Grandpa and Gramma had a bunch of fun decorations to play with in the yard.
Grandpa reading a book to Colin.
Grandpa Jerry, Colin and Dad. Nice smile Colin.
Grandma Kay and Colin dancing to the music.
Colin was really good on the plane ride back to Denver. He got to watch shows on Dad's Ipod. Lucky.
Dad and Colin went for a walk one afternoon and Colin ran over to the fence that surrounds the pool. I thought it was a really neat picture of Colin realizing that summer was over....or he just really wanted the beach ball on the other side of the fence.
Here is Colin in the early morning. "Too bright dad."
We decided to start a new Denver tradition this year called "Fall Day." We get together with our friends and carve Jack-O-Lanterns, drink apple cider, make candy apples, and celebrate the fall season. Here is Mom and Colin carving a pumpkin.
A pic of all of our hard work.
Mom and Dad took a long weekend trip to Phoenix and left Colin at home with Grandma Kay and Grandpa Jim. We stayed at a resort where a bagpiper played every night during happy hour. It was pretty cool.
Karen somehow won a game of shuffleboard. This must have been the highlight of her trip.
We also hiked to the top of a small mountain while we were there. It was quite a workout, but the view was great!
Colin dressed up for Halloween for the first time this year. He was a skeleton, and we didn't know if he would let us paint his face.
Scary!
Colin's first trick or treat house.
We went back to our house pretty early in the trick or treating night. Here we are getting mobbed by what seemed like a never ending wave of costumed kids.
VIDEOS!!! The first couple videos are from Grandma Kay, so they are silent videos.
