Week 20

We've had a lot of fun this week. Despite that Colin's still pretty congested, he seems to have gotten back on track with sleeping through the night due in large part to his new found love of sleeping on his stomach. (Yes, I have been sneaking into his room at night to take pictures again...I can't help myself.)
Up there with tummy sleeping and his thumb, Colin is still loving food. This picture was taken right after he finished the last spoonful of rice cereal. He is angry that it's gone and he is not afraid to threaten people with his right hook to get more:
Colin also LOVES Reggie and Jack more and more every day. He watches their every move and gives them open mouth kisses whenever possible:
Here's a video of him having a bonding moment with Reggie:
And sometimes he gets so excited about the dogs that he kicks his feet and waves his arms like crazy (and then needs to rest):
I'm lazy and don't feel like moving these pictures all the way to the end of this posting, so I'm going to show some funny Colin faces mid-blog this week. The first picture is my favorite since I finally captured his "I'm tired and/or distracted but I'm going to give you a little smile so you stop bugging me and go away" face:
And I don't want to forget these funny faces from the week:
We're still really happy with Colin's daycare. When we walk in we are greeted by a room full of teachers saying "Hello Colin!" which, due to the fact that English is the second language of many of the women, sounds more like "Ello Coe-leeen!" As soon as he sees them he starts smiling and giggling and looking all around at the different teachers and kids. Not only does he get all kinds of great attention, but check out this cool curriculum from this past week - singing, counting, pushing toys AND smelling lemons? It probably doesn't get much better than this:
We've been having lots of fun on the weekends too. Last weekend we spent time with Lisa and Greg and Jamie and Bill in the Anderson backyard, and the two best friends got to play with each other and grab the top of each other's heads. I think the babies had fun too.
Then this past weekend Sara and Nick Olson were in town from Wisconsin, so they came over for some burgers and brewskies in our backyard. It was really fun to relax and catch up with them.
We also had fun at a National's game with Leo and Larissa. To the surprise of the entire stadium, the Nationals actually won!
Colin spent a lot of time with his dad again this weekend. As you can tell from their faces, I think they both got a little sick of me taking pictures:
But they went right back to having fun after that!
Colin has continued to reach and grab things in front of him, including hunks of dog fur and chunks of our hair. He's also been getting a lot of work done at his office lately:
Gabe and I had a streak of bad luck with trying to catch him doing something really funny or cute on video. He would do something 6 or 7 times in a row and then, of course, stop doing it as soon as we turned on the camera. Here's an example of us making asses out of ourselves (Gabe even resorted to barking) to once again try (unsuccessfully) to get him to kick or roll over or laugh or talk or something...whatever it was, Colin really wasn't interested:
And last but not least, a picture of Colin and me!
