Data Dump

We realize this blog posting is a little - okay, a lot - late. We've had lots of pictures and videos uploaded for several weeks, but we just haven't had time to put them in any kind of order or describe a little bit about Colin's latest adventures. After a pep talk from Grandpa McGinnis, we now know that posting even a few pictures is better than nothing for weeks at a time. With that in mind, we have decided to post this Colin data dump without much more than a brief intro. And from this point on, the blog bar will be lowered in favor of timeliness, we promise! Do not bring up the Badger-Ohio State game in front of this guy...he may look nice enough, but he'll snap if you mention it.
Colin recently had his 9-month appointment. The doc's high percentile size estimates are proving accurate...
One of Colin's favorite activities - get in the bath and refuse to sit down!
One of my absolute favorite things to do with Colin right now - watch his Baby Signing Time video with him on the couch. He cuddles right up next to me for 30 minutes straight - unheard otherwise (unless he's sleeping)!
SCRUNCH FACE! Colin went through a phase where all he did was scrunch his face and blow air out his nose...
Aunt EE-AH's (Lisa's) recent birthday celebration!
Colin in some of his new fall attire...
Playing with one of his favorite new toys!
Probably the most important and fun thing to happen in the last month was a visit from Grandma!! Colin was so lucky to spend a long weekend with Grandma McGinnis and her sister (Aunt Barb to us, Grandma Ba to Colin) while Gabe and I took advantage of the babysitters and took off for a cabin in the mountains. Everyone had a great time!
A Badger helmet Grandma McGinnis made him for a costume...if we can convince Gabe to take it off for a couple hours, Colin will definitely be a little Badger for Halloween this year.
Colin showed off his musical skills while Grandma was here, playing in lots of bands with instruments made of various kitchen items...more to come on this in the videos.
You wouldn't know it from these ridiculous faces, but Colin does actually enjoy the water...
A couple other fun new toys...
Naughty!!
Videos!
Colin has been working on his sign language skills. Here is is signing "All done!"

Colin LOVES to dance - shake his head and clap - when he hears music. Here's a little flavor of what he can do when he really cuts a rug...

A little silly time with mom...

Playing instruments and singing in a band...

A few glimpses of that scrunch face I mentioned earlier...

Colin now loves to show off his waving skills if you say "hi" or "bye," although sometimes he gets it confused with another very important skill he has - if someone says, "Colin, do you feel CRAZY??" then he waves both hands in the air like a crazy man!!

Colin really likes to JUMP!

Another stupid pet, I mean baby, trick...high five!

More sign language...here he is signing "more" (kind of, it's supposed to be a little more like finger tips touching and a little less like clapping, but we won't tell him). He now does this about every 10 seconds in his high chair...the man likes food, what can we say??

A new toy truck that Colin loves to roll around (or slam) on the floor...

One of Gabe's favorite games to play with Colin - catch! As you'll see, he's got a fierce underhand toss...

Another fun dad game...

If you've made it this far, you've survived the data dump! We promise to post a lot less material ON TIME next week!
