Kruse Family: Bam Bam!

Gabe and Colin had some boys-only time this week while I was in Portland for work (and fun!). Since this picture sums up what Mr. Colin A. Kruse is like right now, Gabe definitely had his hands full...

Another wild moment as Bam Bam teased Reggie while Gabe got his breakfast ready...this combines two of Colin's favorite things (dogs and banging!).

And this picture was taken one morning after Colin had a diaper explosion just as the boys were on their way out the door. Needless to say, it set things back a bit. Colin sure didn't mind since it meant an impromptu bath followed by some good old fashioned wild naked play time while his dad finished cleaning everything up!

Gabe also took Colin shopping for his first pair of shoes at Stride Rite where the staff helps measure kids' feet and make sure they get a great fitting pair of shoes. It's a great service, but even Colin was noticing that it's a little pricey...

Once he got over the sticker shock, he had a lot of fun looking around at all cool styles. That is, when he wasn't distracted by all of the cute girls riding by in their strollers!

All in all, he loved the experience and his new pair of shoes!

Earlier in the week, the whole family - humans and doggies - went for several morning walks, which was a great way to start the day. The little monkey is very serious on walks, intensely watching and listening to everything around him. His favorite things to watch are, of course, Reggie and Jack.

I know we've covered Colin's apple stealing tendencies in the past, but they've gotten more serious. Everyone be warned - Colin feels very strongly that apples are meant to be shared (with him) and then sometimes not given back. This time, he spotted mine from clear across the room and pounced on it!

This picture was taken when Colin was looking for and then finally found his dad in the bedroom. Once he discovered him, Colin stood up on the gate and started shaking it like a mad man so his dad would let him in!
