Little Hef
We've had another really fun week around here! We had our first parent-teacher conference at Colin's daycare - the PRESSURE!! Ms. Leslie gave Colin great scores in all of the 10 month old developmental categories, and she told us he is just about ready to switch to the toddler side of the room. She also said that Colin is very patient - that unlike most babies his age, he sits patiently and waits for toys or books that other kids are using. We were so proud of our little boy!
That is, until we found out Colin is not quite so patient when it comes to food other kids are eating. Ms. Leslie said Colin cries whenever his food or bottle is gone (no surprise there, since that is par for the course at home too), but then he does something we didn't know about. Apparently once his food is gone, they unhook him from his little chair and put him in the play area, and he sneaks back over to the little table and grabs food from the other kids! Our son the bully! We are switching him to the daycare menu for meals and snacks soon, which is what most of the kids his age are eating now, so hopefully he won't feel the need to steal if he has the same thing as everyone else...wishful thinking, I know.
On to the pictures for the week! A couple of ham hocks...
Colin started wearing his Hugh Hefner pajamas to bed this week...Aunt Julie, here's a preview of what you'll be seeing at the Thanksgiving sleepover later this week!

When Mom is away, Dad is pushing all kinds of (potential choking hazard) food limits - here Colin is eating a whole piece of toast all by himself! In all seriousness, it's probably better that Dad pushes the limits since Mom would probably have Colin eating pureed food until he's 20...
