Gobble Gobble!

Not sure what happened to our timely streak...I suppose Thanksgiving, food poisoning and general work chaos. We're back! In hopes of actually getting this thing posted tonight, descriptions will be short and sweet! A picture from the Thanksgiving party at Colin's daycare. We had fun having lunch with Colin, his classmates and their parents. Related update - he is now several weeks into eating lunch and snacks provided by the school (which are surprisingly healthy and creative - way better than anything we would think of), and his teachers report that he has stopped stealing food and crying when food is gone! The bully has been rehabilitated.

On our way to Boston to see the McGinnis side of the family for turkey day. Colin was great on the flight. It didn't hurt that we fed him almost the entire time...

More Boston pictures! Boy did we have fun. We did an early Christmas present exchange, and Colin loved to play with the wrapping paper - even better than the presents themselves!

Lisa proved how well she knows Gabe by getting him a deluxe neck brace for plane rides...even if he didn't get his invention idea out there in time to make our family millions, at least he's got one to use himself now.

A million kudos to Brian for a delicious Thanksgiving feast!

Followed by classic McGinnis family post-meal board games and drinks...

The following night we left the baby with the sitter and the "McGinnis Mob" had a blast in the Taormina room at Maggianos - what a great idea, Julie!

Some other pictures taken post-Boston but pre-Barforama...Colin in his winter pea coat (thanks again, Cousin Logan!), experiencing snow for the first time and reading books (don't tell him they are upside down)...

Colin had school pictures taken at daycare recently. These pictures were taken that morning when he was all ready in his "dress up" outfit and practicing different smile/serious face options to provide the photographer...

In other news, Colin took his very first steps in Boston! Here is a video from that trip - as you can tell, we were a little excited.

On a related note, Colin is also standing up all by himself now - he should be walking soon!

Finally, Gabe's dreams are slowly but surely coming true, as Colin has an official first word - ball! A video capturing the beginning of Colin's athletic career...
