Being One is Fun!

We've been having so much fun hanging around with our big boy one year old, we just haven't had time to update the blog! To start off, a few more pictures from Colin's first birthday party, which was almost a month ago. He already knew he loved food, but I don't think he knew it could be THIS good...

Colin had a lot of fun at his very first party. His friends Isaac and Ellie gave him a hand opening and playing with all his new toys. And his Aunt Julie and Jamie made him laugh so hard! He even compared big boy bellies with Isaac.

And the next day at school, he got a special birthday song, a treat and a crown!

The classic corner crack up. Colin loves to chase and be chased, but sometimes he needs to take a break (especially if he's been laughing so hard that he has the hiccups) and just retreat to the corner for an old fashioned crack up.

As you'll see from these pictures and the videos below, Colin had a BLAST at the park last weekend. He just couldn't get enough of climbing, sliding, swinging and see sawing!

Night stalker mom is back!

One of Colin's latest favorites - climbing in, on, over and through ANYTHING. The doctor asked us at his 1 year appointment if he had shown signs of being a "climber" - when we told her yes, she told us she was very sorry...her climber ended up finding cookies on the top of the refrigerator at 2 years old. She also told us very determined climbers sometimes find creative ways to climb right out of their cribs. YIKES!

Here are a few videos from the park last weekend. We included two different climbing ones - as you'll see, he got a lot braver and faster after climbing up the jungle gym about 200 times! And I encourage you to take note of Gabe's elbows in the see saw video...
