Snopocolypse 2010!

We've had quite an adventurous last couple weeks with Colin cutting his first molar (which kept us, our poor, POOR friend staying with us that night, and everyone within a 10 mile radius, awake all night long), Colin's doctor ordering Colin to stay home from daycare for a week after he contracted the hand, foot and mouth virus (no, not HOOF and mouth!), and then the grandaddy of them all - the storm of the century crushing the DC metro area! Somehow life - including, you know, jobs - must go on through all of this madness, but it sure isn't easy. Luckily we've squeezed in time for a little fun too. We tried to explain to Colin how fun it can be to play outside in the snow...he wasn't buying it. So we told him about all the fun gear - including his dad's gloves! - he could wear if he played in the snow...BOOOring.
And then we told him he could be with his best friend (his dad, of course) if he went outside to play while his dad shoveled...not interested.
Finally we mentioned in passing that he could eat the snow. Count that boy IN!!!
Colin proceeded to try to eat his way through the entire yard, but even he could not quite get through all of this...
The snow was so high that we couldn't even get the side door to our house open on Saturday morning (10 hours before it actually stopped snowing!). Here is Reggie - outside and level with the kitchen floor!
We also had a lot of fun playing inside - Colin got to wear a head band just like his dad.
And wear macaroni and cheese on his face and in his ear...
All in all, it was a really fun weekend!
Videos!
A few snow storm videos showing Reggie and Jack plowing through an untouched backyard for the first time and Gabe shoveling mid-storm.

A funny Colin crack up - his dad comes up with the best games!

Colin trying ice cream for the first time...

Colin practicing some new animal noises...

And finally, dad trying to get Colin to flex his muscles...he only did it about 300 times before the camera was on, but for the video he's showing off a different skill - shaking his head NO!
