Ba!

What a fun week full of all kinds of "firsts" for the big man. Colin finally decided to give the consonant thing a try, and he hasn't stopped saying "Ba!" ever since! Here's a video of him saying it for one of the first times...

Another first was that we played at a park in Old Town and tried a swing! I was a little afraid he'd be too small for it...a rare feeling for the mother of a 25 pounder. Boy was I wrong. And he loved it!
Colin has also continued to crawl around like a crazy man. He likes to search for the dogs - this time he found Reggie outside!
Colin also tried a new net-food-sucker thingie. The point is that he can suck on things like ice, grapes and blueberries without choking. He loves it. And apparently it's also a good thing for teething babies - I'm sure we'll be there soon!
We found out that Colin really likes to share apples with people. Be warned - he does get them a little slimy...
Colin also started to ride in the grocery cart like a very big boy. Man does this make shopping easier - the less gear, the better!
Isaac invited Colin to his 1st birthday party this weekend. Colin had never been invited to a party before, so he wanted to bring something really special...
We had some leftover cake, so Gabe also made this very special treat for his co-workers:
Isaac's party was SO fun. Colin played with about a million babies and spent a lot of time in the pool. He really liked the water, but he also really liked trying to crawl OUT of the water...
Isaac sure makes it like look fun to be one year old - and to eat cake!
After the party, Colin and I stopped over at Aunt Lisa's house. Colin was WAY too tired to visit, so Lisa and I got some good sister time while Colin slept for almost 2.5 hours in this fancy fort that Lisa set up for him...
Colin spent a lot of time this week just being plain old silly. He likes to tip over to the side while he's eating, drinking his bottle, making funny faces, and even while watching his baby videos...
He was feeling very silly in this video (with a dramatic ending!).

He ALWAYS feels like getting silly around Jack, and sometimes he even sneaks him a toy or two. This time Jack didn't really think he should have to give them back...

And here Colin is getting silly clapping while his dad tries to groom him to be a future Badger.

Finally, back by popular demand, Colin faces!
