We continued to try to stick to a nightly routine (with routine loosely defined...) of a bath, a massage and new diaper from Dad, a big meal, and then a walk around the nursery (saying goodnight to everything in the room and watching the moving pictures projected onto the ceiling by the sound machine). He has been having some really good stretches of sleep (lasting as long as 6 hours on one glorious night!) and is generally pretty predictable, going to bed around 9:00 or 10:00, getting up around 1:30 or 2:00, and then again around 5:00. It may sound bad, but it makes it a lot more tolerable that we each take one feeding.
On Saturday night, we switched it up a little with a bath in the big tub! Colin loved it. He was instantly relaxed and even fell asleep in the water a couple times...
On Monday, Grandma, Karen and Colin had a very busy morning that started with bootcamp, and then included running to the doctor's office, to Walgreens, and to the AT&T store so that Grandma could start using a bluetooth headset! That night, Grandma, Lisa and Greg watched Colin while Karen and Gabe went to dinner and stayed at a hotel to celebrate their 5 year wedding anniversary! We had a great night, complete with almost 11 hours of sleep, wild robes and breakfast in bed!
Sadly, the next night was our last night with Grandma McGinnis. She did so many helpful things before leaving, including cleaning the bathroom again and doing every last bit of laundry in the house. Colin tried to get her to stay a little longer with tight hugs and funny faces, but unfortunately for all three of us, she got on the plane. We are really going to miss her, but we know she had to get home and take care of her other baby, Grandpa McGinnis!
Colin continues to get stronger and stronger every week. He can now hold his head way up for several minutes in a row! Here he is showing off his skills to Reggie on a couple different toys...
On Thursday, Colin and Karen walked over to the Jamiesons and babysat baby Ellie (who can roll over all by herself!) and Sadie for a little while so that Mama Jamieson could run to get her hair done. We had fun with the pretty ladies!
And, of course, Colin continues to entertain us with all of his different faces!
